Frequently Asked Questions

What is PEMF?

PEMF, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy, is a non-invasive technique that uses electromagnetic fields to support overall wellness. It involves applying magnetic fields to the body to stimulate cells, which may promote healing and overall health.

How does the iCare work?

iCare is powered by technology that you already carry around with you everyday - your phone! Simply plug the iCare into your phone or tablet, open the app, and select the protocol that you would like to run.

Will it work with animals?

Yes! Some of our favorite success stories come with fur and four legs.

What does the iCare cost?

The iCare Package costs $999. Your initial purchase includes the iCare-PEMF device, phone adapter, and over 300 protocols.

How many protocols can I run at once?

You can run two protocols simultaneously by loading one in the Resources tab and playing another from the Personal Protocols tab.

How much storage space does the app need?

The app is initially 140 MB, but might expand to 400 MB or more based on the complexity of your unique protocols.

Is there a subscription for the app?

To use the iCare-PEMF app, we will need to activate it for you. Once activated, your first 3 weeks of use is free, then you’ll need to subscribe for $15/month via the app's Resources Tab using a credit card. This payment goes directly to the app developer.

Can I cancel my app subscription anytime?

Yes. Cancel anytime by following the instructions in the app. Reactivate anytime and your customized protocols will reappear for use.

Can I return my iCare if I don't want it?

No. The iCare device is non-returnable and non-refundable.

How often can I use my iCare?

As often as you like! There are no side effects or toxicity from using it too much. Pulsed energy already exists throughout your body; functional frequencies work to rebalance it.

Can I run multiple protocols back to back?

iCare allows unlimited creation of "Groups" for this purpose, easily changeable and modifiable as needed.

Can I use my phone or tablet simultaneously with the iCare device?

iCare relies on your phone's audio, so incoming calls or music pauses the protocol. To avoid interruptions, use Airplane Mode. You will still be able to use your phone for everything else.

Are there any contraindications for the iCare?

There are a few contraindications. They include:

Pregnancy: As there's insufficient data on the effects of PEMF on pregnancy, it's typically avoided.

People with implants: Those with certain implants like pacemakers, defibrillators, cochlear implants, or other electronic devices may be at risk of interference.

Active cancer: There's concern that PEMF could potentially stimulate the growth of certain cancers, so it's avoided in individuals with active cancer.

Epilepsy or history of seizures: Some studies suggest that PEMF could trigger seizures in susceptible individuals, although we have never encountered this.

Organ transplant recipients: Due to the possibility of affecting the immune system and medications, caution is advised.

How far does the iCare reach?

The device range can reach up to an inch on either side of it.

Where do I place my iCare?

Usually directly over the area you're treating, but you can also put it under your pillow while you sleep.

How do I know if my iCare is working?

Common positive responses to the frequencies include feeling relaxed, a sense of well-being, reduced pain, sleepiness, warmth, tingling. You may not feel anything immediately, but notice positive effects in the days after treatment.

What is a dongle?

A dongle is an adapter that will connect a lightning plug to a standard headphone jack. The lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter lets you connect devices with an audio jack, like iCare, to a lightning port. iPhone 5 and newer have a lightening port, as do almost all other Apple devices.

Will my insurance pay for an iCare device?

No. iCare isn't covered by insurance as it's considered a wellness device, not a medical one, and therefore doesn't have a CPT code for insurance billing.
